Product Shot 1The Vivitar DVR 940XHD is a low-cost compact video camera. This is a slight upgrade from the Vivitar DVR 920, including a new Voice Recording function and a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery for power. While also similar to the Vivitar DVR 980HD that follows it, there are no HDMI ports and the screen is only 2.7 inches in size, with the main interface being a set of small plastic buttons.

Otherwise these cameras share many of the same features, including an 8.1 megapixel sensor that can take still photos at up to 3264x2448 resolution and video at 1280x720 resolution. Scene modes can be selected for various lighting conditions, and lighting is managed by 2 LED lamps.
