The Pros:Large internal hard drive that can account for many hours of recording. Compact design that's easy to carry around with you. Lens cap is built in and will never get lost.
The Cons:Doesn't have a wide-angle lens, limiting what you can record. Doesn't have a viewfinder which makes working in the bright sun difficult as the LCD gets washed out. Records in MPEG2 which is awkward to edit with and usually needs to be converted.
The Sony DCR-SR45 is a camcorder with an intenal hard-drive of 30GB, with a slot for optional Memory Stick Duo Pro stoage. The camera features a 1/8" HAD (Hole Acccumlating Diode) CCD sensor, with zoom lens manufactured by Zeiss and capable of providing 25x optical magnification, with an additional 200x avilable via digital zoom.

The Sony DCR-SR45 is also capable of capturing still photos, and has Super-nightshot for infrared photography, scene selection mode for recalling stored videos and a USB interface for file transfer
