The Cons:USB connectivity is limited to PC computers - Mac users will be required to buy an external SD Card reader or purchase separate camera all together. Memory stick capacity is very low - 16MB handling makes extensive photo capture difficult and video capture virtually impossible.
The Samsung SCD23 is in inexpensive MiniDV based home-movie camcorder offered by Samsung. It features a high-performance 1/6" 680,000 Pixel CCD to capture high-quality video and digital photos and has 10x optical / 800x digital zoom with a digital stabilizer to give a clear picture even when zoomed in.

It is capable of capturing MPEG4 video format at a resolution of QVGA 10fps to the MiniDV cassette, and can capture high quality photos to a memory card which are stored as JPEG files. It has several connection options including an IEEE1394(In/Out), USB interface, Audio/Video Ports, and an S-Video Cable port. The enhanced LSS feature lets you shoot in low-light conditions and supports manual focus for savvy users to tape in hard-to-focus situtiations. The Samsung SCD23 comes with a lithium ion battery, AV cables, shoulder strap, power cords and a memory stick.

"Night Pix" infrared capability is an excellent feature - enables nighttime image capture of objects up to 15 feet away
