The Pros:Leek looking camera, nice curves and overall cool looking shape. Video recording is clear and reasonably sharp. Records to almost all memory cards, good compatibility.
The Cons:Disc errors are common, hard to find a disc the camera will like. Battery slowly drains even when the camera is off. Picture quality is noticeably lesser when recording to a disc.
The Samsung SC-DX205 is a miniDV camcorder that retails at $200 and was released in 2009. It has a 34x optical zoom which is pretty good for this price range. It has a 680K pixel CCD and a 720x480 pixel resolution, as well as a digital image stabilizer.

For these set of features one can't help but conclude that Samsung beats its competitors when it comes to value for money: The cheapest entry level miniDV offered by canon is the Canon ZR900 which retails at $250, and the cheapest one offered by Panasonic is the Panasonic PV-GS90, retailing at $280.
