$249.99
Released March, 2010
The Pros:Picture quality is clear and looks great on a large HDTV. Touch screen is responsive and pretty easy to work with. Can record directly to the internal memory, but the memory card slot is convenient for expansion.
The Cons:Have to manually open and close the lens cover, easy to forget. Sound recording spikes occasionally for uncomfortable jumps in volume.
The HMX-H204 is a High Definition camcorder in Samsung's H-Series. A Solid State Drive is used for data storage within the camcorder instead of a standard hard drive, meaning that the camcorder has no moving internal parts resulting in lower power requirements, longer battery life, and a lighter device that produces less heat and less noise.

The camcorder has 16 GB of SSD space for saving video and still photo captures. Another new feature introduced with this camcorder is Samsung's BSI CMOS imaging sensor, which allows for operation in lower-light environments by increasing the amount of light that can be detected. The camcorder has an LCD touchscreen display for a user interfacer, and a 37mm wide-angle lens with a 20x optical zoom for a wide variety of recording options.
