JVC claims that its GZ series are the world's smallest and lightest hard-disk recording camcorders at approximately 0.7lbs. The Everio GZ-MG330 features a 1/6" CCD sensor and a 30GB internal hard-drive, allowing up to 37.5 hours of recording time (7 hours in the highest quality bit-rate).

The camera is a "hybrid" model in that it also allows for removeable storage in the form of a micro-SD card slot. The lens is designed by Konica-Minolta and offers 35x optical zoom, with 800x digital zoom and image stabilization. The camera also features the Gigabrid Engine for image processing. The camera features USB output.
