Standard definition recording is also selectable, and this grants 70x dynamic zoom. The only upgrade over the lower GZ-HM30 is onboard storage of 8GB, and it still has a slot for an SD card, so total memory can be expanded. Other features are the same: 1.5 megapixel sensor, 2.7-inch LCD display, face recognition, and automatic scene selection. This camera has automatic and time delay recording modes and a digital image stabilizer to improve blurring caused by hand shake. This camcorder comes bundled with media browser software and a grip belt. Its price point is about $40 higher than the HM-30, which lacks the flash memory.
