Canon ZR930
$269.00
Released January, 2008
The Pros:Picture is very sharp and detailed, really looks great on a big HDTV. Works well in both sunlight and low light conditions. Display is really bright, good for working in daylight.
The Canon ZR930 is an entry-level miniDV-based ultra compact camcorder. Retailing at just $269, this piece is very cheap if compared to the other ultra-compact camcorders in the market. It has a good 37x zoom (its advanced zoom goes up to 48x), which is above average, has manual focus with impressive quality, and weights just 13.4 ounces.

Critics have praised its great value for money, and pointed out that similar pieces in the market go for about $280. It must be noted that this piece has a 1.07 CCD image sensor, which is a lot better than the $20 cheaper Canon ZR900. It has the interesting feature of multi-angle remote: which means it can be controlled by the remote from any angle.
