Product Shot 1The Canon DC420 is a standard definition camcorder from Canon's 2009 lineup.  The camcorder is a step up from the DC410 since it features a 1.07 megapixel CMOS sensor along with Canon's DIGIC DV II image processor compared to the 680,000 pixel sensor of the DC410.

  The DC420 records video and still images directly to DVD and is compatible with rewritable and dual-layer formats for up to 108 minutes of video recording time.  Like the DC410, it is designed with a 2.7" LCD display and is quite compact, weighing approximately 13 ounces.  The camcorder includes Canon's 48x advanced zoom technology as well as image stabilization and a built-in microphone terminal for recording audio. The DC420 is expected to be released in Spring 2009.
